Partnerships are not just a means to an end. They’re a crucial part of UCT Online High School’s commitment to making a positive impact in the South African education sector.
Because of the generosity of corporate partners, UCT Online High School is able to implement a number of exciting initiatives including our Learning Liberated Scholarship & Bursary Programme, our Complementary Services and our Rewards Programme.
Without our corporate partners, these initiatives simply wouldn’t be possible.
Our rewards programme
Behavioural science has proven that the strategic use of game elements (things like points, levels and rewards) is highly effective in motivating learners and enhancing their engagement.
That’s why UCT Online High School has worked closely with corporate partners to put together our online rewards platform.
Our rewards programme helps to foster positive learning behaviours through a rewards system. When learners engage in good learning behaviour, they are shown public recognition via our learner leaderboard, and get access to tangible rewards by our partners.
These types of gamified programmes have proven to increase learner engagement, and can positively influence academic performance.

As part of our offerings for 2024, we’re excited to share the following rewards from our partners.
A Class Tutors offers individualised tutoring and exam prep services that aim to guide learners through their educational journey. They’re offering rewards totalling R22,300.00.
Advantage Learn offers courses to equip Grade 12 learners for the National Benchmark Tests (NBT). They’re offering rewards totalling R39,700.00.
Angus Lowe Experiences is a company offering wilderness adventures in the Kruger National Park. They’re offering three 5-day trips totalling R41,700.00.
Bounce Inc. is an indoor trampoline park with venues in KwaZulu-Natal and Johannesburg, offering R3,600.00 of vouchers.
Exclusive Books is a bookstore with outlets nationwide. They’re offering R5,000.00 worth of vouchers to learners.
FundiMatch is a career platform that provides personalised insights and guidance for users. They’re offering 20x R769 FundiMatch Comprehensive Licenses, totalling R15,380.00.
JEFF Fitness is an online health and wellness platform offering annual memberships worth R7,200.00.
OneDayOnly is an online store offering daily discounts for one day only, spanning from tech to fashion, cosmetics to home goods. They’re offering vouchers totalling R375,000.00.
Planet Fitness is a gym franchise offering a wide-range of facilities with locations in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape. They’re offering one week passes worth R3,500,000.00.
rAge Expo is a gaming, technology, esports, geek culture and digital entertainment exhibition taking place in Joburg.
Reflective Learning is an online learning platform that helps address learning gaps, especially in Maths and English. They’re offering our learners rewards totalling R201,600.00.
Spaza Eats is a South African online dining and delivery service offering rewards worth a total of R60,000.00.
Total Ninja is an inflatable and obstacle course with locations in Cape Town and Johannesburg. They’re offering vouchers worth R900.00.
Webtickets is an online ticket vendor offering R25,000.00 worth of vouchers to our learners.
